Why Facebook Keeps Changing.

So why DOES facebook keep changing?
To be honest, I'm not really certain of this answer.

Here is a list of my theories:
1. they're incredibly bored over there.
2. perhaps there was something wrong and we just didn't notice.
3. they're just trying to make it more user-friendly.
4. they think they're doing the world a great service.
5. Tom from myspace is behind all this and is sabotaging facebook so people will go to myspace again.

As you can clearly see, I have no real answer, but I have a strong feeling about number 5.

So my newsfeed is exploding (very much out of order I might add) with two different kinds of people. 80% of them are complaining about the new facebook and the other 20% are complaining about the people complaining about facebook and telling them to quit if they don't like it.
Wow, we're really effective.

Here's the thing though. Yeah, facebook is free, but I feel like I should be allowed to complain about it because if I go to the mall and get a free sample and it tastes like someone's dirty underwear baked in the sun for three months and then soaked in vinegar... I'm going to complain. Anyone in their right mind would complain. Unless you like that sort of thing.
OK, maybe you wouldn't complain to the sample man, but you would complain to whoever you were with about how nasty that was.
Right? Right.
So who cares if someone complains about facebook?

I complained too, here's why:
Before myspace or facebook and even before email was something everyone had, I moved all over the world all the time. I had no way of keeping in touch with anyone... so I didn't. Now, I have the ability to keep in touch with all my old friends, all my family, and all my new friends in one convenient location. I don't have to email all of them individually to find out what's new in their life. Cause who has time for that?
Exactly.
Facebook isn't something I'm in the position to just "quit" when I don't like something. I have to keep in touch with everyone somehow and facebook is the least time consuming, most convenient way to do that.

Social sites are the new keep-in-touch format. It's not going to "go away" and people aren't going to "quit." That's not possible.

On the other hand... facebook IS free, and we should all remember that and be grateful that they aren't charging us. (They make enough money anyways... why would they?)

What was my point here? I don't even remember.
Here, enjoy this hilarious GIF:

and thus began the slow migration back to myspace...
